This kit comes in a plain metallic-red bag. No advertising, picture, or anything else on the outside of the bag except for a product code sticker. I couldn’t figure out what it was for a minute when it arrived at my door. It would have been nice to have a large photo of the finished project on the outside for reference.The kit comes with everything you need to build a Santa Claus and snowman figure: yarn in various colors, stuffing, crochet hook, stitch markers, keyring, plastic eyes, yarn needle, and some little decorative fabric balls. The instructions are on one very large folded sheet with instructions on the front and back. This is a bit more awkward to handle while you’re working the project, but it also allows the instructions to be large and clear, so there are pros and cons here. The instructions start with illustrations, not photos, of the basic stitches. I actually prefer this over photos, as it’s more clear as to where and in which part of the stitch you are supposed to be working. If this isn’t enough, there are QR codes to get you to a video tutorial.The project pattern instructions are pretty awesome—mainly because of the pictures of literally each step, for example what stitch and where to work the next instruction. This is where I usually have trouble with these kits…not enough explanation about how to work in all the little details once the main body is done, but this kit does a good job of that without even having to go to the videos. When I say a lot of photos, I mean, a LOT of photos.Overall a good kit with cute Christmas-themed amigurumi. This would make an excellent kit for a beginning crocheter who already has a little bit of experience with basic stitches.
