I am 5'9"/160/36DD and purchased the L in ivory. I am going to exchange for the 1X. In the photo I am trying on the L. It fits fine except it is just a tad tight under the bust and the back of the shirt is about 2" shorter than the front. I think the 1X will fit me better. The ivory color is BEAUTIFUL in person. It is a nice warm toned ivory (with a hint of pink) and much nicer than the photo shows. I might get another color as well. Just love that this top feels like I am only wearing a tank top (zero heat retention) but covers all my problem areas. In the photo, I am wearing a white tank underneath, the garment is completley sheer so you will need a tank underneath it. Hope this review and photo are helpful to your shopping.*sigh* so I had to edit my original review from 5 stars to 4. I received the XL in Ivory and it is a COMPLETELY different color. The XL is more of a band-aid beige and not near as pretty as the L color (even though both were ordered as "IVORY" -only difference was supposed to be the size). So I will keep the L and wear white spanx under it....because I love the L color so much more. One star removed for inconsistency in product line....other than that, a fantastic shirt.*update*--ordered a second color "Floral Lace- Off White" in XL. Love that one as well. Looks pure white (not off-white) and length is (sadly) shorter, but still a beautiful shirt.....I'm tempted to order the coral too. :)A feminine, flowing top with a vintage feel. I like it, but don't love it. Amazon mistakenly posted that I ordered teal, large. I was looking at the teal, but didn't order it.I actually ordered the pink lace, not crochet (not available at the time of this writing). In the photo, it's a light pink. Actually, it's somewhat muted or dusty pink. I wish that the photos online accurately reflected the real colors. It's a continual problem.I just noticed today (4-24-15), while updating and editing this review, that the fabric used is not all the same. The crochet ones look better to me, more substantial and not flimsy. This might be a reason for some variance in reviews from others. As far as size, the measurements that they tell you to follow ARE NOT CORRECT (the ones from the company under the place where you choose your size and color). I have a 43" bust and my regular size is XL. Since that wasn't a choice, I ordered the 1X. It's actually too large in the bust, but because of the style, it can work. According to their measurements, I should have ordered a 3X for a 43" bust. I knew from reviews of others not to follow those measurements. I think ordering your true size should work. However, sometimes sizing is inconsistent from one color to another in other clothing that I've ordered. I've also read reviews from others stating this.I noticed that there is a variance in prices according to the size and color you order. Also, many are available with Prime free shipping, others $8.00 shipping. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU ORDER PRIME IF YOU CAN. That way, you get a better price and return it free, if needed. In my case, it wasn't prime and was $43.46 total. I don't think it's worth that much. I would lose a lot in shipping (both ways) if I do return it. I'm still deciding. If it were the pink shown in the photo, I would be much happier with it.Update 4-24-15: I decided to return it because it's a dusty pink and not pastel pink as shown in the photo. Also, it's overpriced compared to another website that sells it (ebay). This is a very sheer top that needs a camisole, or a scoop-neck tank or tee underneath. The crochet lace is very feminine, silky soft, and flowy. It is also very delicate and will easily catch on anything that is not smooth, so to wear this, you'll need to take extra care to avoid snags. I usually wear a size large/ 12-14 in tops, and a 38B in bras, but ordered this in the 1X because the size chart listed it as fitting bust size 36-40". That's incorrect, because the shirt was swimming on me. I should have ordered my usual size large. I'd say that the measurements provided in the size chart is not very accurate. If you usually wear a 1X with a bust of 42 this will fit you fine. Anything less than that the shirt will be swimming on you. I liked the shirt a lot, but didn't re-order in my usual size because I didn't like the back. Looking at the back view photo, you can see that it's open quite low with a band across approximately where your bra strap would be. I tried it on with a tank top in a matching color, but just didn't care for the look. The shirt's line didn't match up with my bra line either. If they made the back more like a normal shirt, I'd be re-ordering it in my usual size L, it really is very pretty.I got a white one, and also a tan one in a different pattern. Shipped quick, showed up in good condition, and the size and color or what I expected. They look really nice over long sleeve knit pullovers or tank tops. What surprised me a little were the two different materials each one is made of. The neckline and the yoke are crocheted, or at least have the look and feel of crocheted cotton yarn. I guess I thought the whole thing would be like that. However, the sleeves and the rest of the body are very thin, almost flat-textured synthetic stretchy lace. Up close I thought the lace looked kind of cheap. The feel of the lace reminds me of dime-store nylon lingerie from the 60s (back when there was such a thing as a dime store); Slippery but a far cry from silky or satiny. However, in the mirror a couple feet away it looks nice. It packs into a tiny space and is very lightweight, So it might work well for "one-bag" travel If you want the option of sometimes looking a little more dressed up.. And the slipperiness might keep it from clinging to the underlying shirt and bunching up.was lovely for my birthday in may was nice and breezy and well made. i love it!i was very pleased with it.it dosent crease so good for packing you could put this in your hand bag.Very short, not what I expected based on the picture.
