Description

The prym.ergonomics double-pointed knitting needles turn the knitting of stockings, socks sleeves and gloves into a circular affair. The knitting needles are made from high quality high-performance synthetic material are easy to bend and extremely quiet to use. The drop-shaped points make it easier to pick up and guide the yarn and the yarn does not slide so quickly from the point. The special shape of the shaft, which goes from a round to a triangular form, allows the stitches to glide along the needle shaft without the knitter having to stop and push them along. The needle gauge is clearly marked centrally on the needle. These innovative double-pointed knitting needles have been developed and manufactured to meet the exact needs of the user.

Good hook and well made like a different sized hook made by Prym that I purchased at a chain craft store who's name starts with M. Ordered a size K, but this isn't the usual US 6.5 mm K, instead it's 7 mm. Oh well, it's a nice hook and I'll love using it, but not for the project I had in mind when I bought it.I’m a lefty, overhand hook holder and prefer Addi Swing. I had been using a generic hook with a silicone grip that worked loose and was driving me nuts: I ordered my first Prym. I was shocked at the ease of using the Prym and thought my stitches looked better. Additionally I used a stop watch to confirm it was faster to use. It was! For me, time saver and ease/comfort of use worth every penny. When I received Prym Crochet hook, it is successful for me comfortable and easy to hold it. Hands are nothing hurting at all! I make a blanket yarns with it. I really enjoyed working on the yarns with Prym crochet hook.It didn't make my fingers sore.I just got this hook. I'm make alot of chenille blankets and have never been happy with the hooks I have. I have a couple of ergonomic hooks one doesn't really have enough room if your doing clusters the other one is wood. Didn't really like the way it moved through the yarn. This one is perfect. I love it. Feels good in my hand, and glides through the yarn.Great price nice hook smooth with all types of yarnI really liked the Prym hook, although I’m not a fan of inline hooks, the Prym hook has a smooth grip, a little longer than I thought but it’s all good, and easy to crochet with, the yarn glide smoothly on the hook. The Prym crochet hook gives my arthritic hand relief as I crochet. The first time I used the hook, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use and how even my stitches turned out. I have included a photograph of the first crochet item I made—a pink lapghan for a dear friend. It worked up beautifully with the Prym hook.Nice sized hook in terms of length. Comfy to hold with a rubberised grip. I found that the yarn felt a bit ‘sticky’ against it to begin with, but after a few stitches it smoothed out and now slides easily. Only loses one star because it is described as being metal, which is why I chose this over similar hooks, as I find plastic hooks bend after a while. I suppose that it might have a metal core but all the surfaces are plastic. Time will tell...Gave me a blister on my thumb within a few rounds. The plastic isn’t slick enough and the yarn doesn’t slide as smoothly as my metal tipped hooks and apparently catches enough on skin to cause a blister too. Bought another metal tipped hook in the size I needed and no such trouble.Handle is very long and I found I was holding more of the hook than the rubberised handle area as it felt too far from where I was working to have control. Some may love them but I personally wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.I purchased this because I needed a second 7mm hook and was attracted to the ergonomic handle, but sadly this hook isn't as easy to use as the multi pack cheap straight metal hooks I usually use. I found it much slower as the plastic doesn't glide through the yarn as easily as a metal one, and the hand position made my thumb pads cramp quite quickly which I haven't experienced before. It also came up a little larger than my other 7mm hook, perhaps more like a 7.5mm. Perhaps my other hook is in fact smaller than 7mm,but for this reason I haven't used it any more.Exactly as I knew it would be. Great hooks for thicker makes due to the longer handle which reduces pressure on thumb.I bought the smaller sizes set and was so impressed with the comfort of the grip and how they just glide through your stitches that I needed a bigger hook for a project so instead of using another type I have I bought the prom I absolutely love these hooks
